MISSION IN THE CHURCH

The love of God for men, contemplated in the Crucifix from the pierced side, urges missionary of the Sacred Costato to testify to the brothers that infinite love through the apostolate in direct contact with others, thus living their vocation as contemplatives in action. This apostolate I exert in various ways. A special place occupies the ' teaching of the Catechism, as a means of primary evangelization and Christian formation that are ordered all the other works, such as the 'education and education of children and youth , through the school , the after-school , the educational institutions for children of poor families , the workshops for training and promotion of women . 
Closely related catechetical and educational work is the ' help parish priests in pastoral ministry and promotion of the spiritual Exercises according to the method of St. Ignatius Loyola. And because it is their vocation to go to different places and live in any part of the world, where it is hoped to pursue the greater glory of God and the good of souls, the religious who work in the territories Mission , providing service of the Kingdom of the energies mind and heart, in total dependence on its top and by the competent ecclesiastical authority. Also the universality of the apostolic service brings them to practice various spiritual and corporal works of mercy in hospitals, nursing homes for the elderly, prevention and youth care centers and prisons. At present the congregation has about 470 members, distributed in 68 communities including 46 in Italy, 5 in Taiwan, 2 in the United States of America, 4 in the Philippines, four in Ecuador, 2 in Albania, two in Brazil, two in Indonesia and a residence in Vietnam.
